Coach Izzy has a love for giving back to the lacrosse community in all ways. She has been coaching for roughly 10 years, starting in high school coaching the junior program for her high school. She has coached all age groups from elementary to college girls, club teams and individual sessions.
High school career: She played on the varsity team at Kell High School all her years and was awarded many accolades: Nominated GA’s positive womens’ athlete for lacrosse in 2015, was her high schools’ MVP in 2016 and MVP Midfield in 2015. She also was named to the all county team in 2014 and all state team in the years 2015 and 2016. Additionally, she was named an All-American in 2016 and All-Academic American 2015 and 2016.
College Career: Izzy had a phenomenal college athletic career as a starting midfielder at Kennesaw State University as well. She not only excelled in the classroom (maintained a Zell Miller scholarship (GPA over 3.5, majored in Psychology and minored in Biology) but on the field being awarded to the ASUN conference All Freshman Team in 2017, ASUN Honor Roll 2017 and 2019 and in 2019 she also was in the top 10 for free position shooting percentage for the ASUN. Izzy also exemplifies incredible leadership ability with her being on Kennesaw State’s Leadership Committee her 4 years there and is the only Women’s Lacrosse athlete to start and play every single game of her career.
What makes Izzy, Izzy? She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 10 years old, but that did not stop her from doing what she loved and pushing towards her goals. Her determination and drive to not just help her succeed but help her athletes succeed on the field, in the classroom and in life is what makes her so special in coaching our athletes, she doesnt just want them to succeed as athletes, but as individuals as a whole.
